Metamorphix is a brand and Jewelry line that speaks to the daring, creative, edgy, bold and limitless. Designer Myrlande Georges is a self-taught jewelry maker from Port-Au-Prince Haiti. In her work she often experiments with unconventional materials such as mango seeds, duct tape and rare metals, complimented with leather, beads and cloth that create simply dynamic pieces. Metamorphix Brand has been featured in a number of events such as The Griffin- New York Fashion Week, The Audacity To Be Fierce Fashion Show at New York University, The Safari Strut Fashion Show at Long Island University, The Harrisburg Natural Hair Care Expo in the state of Pennsylvania and Earlyn Joseph’s Cultural Awareness Poetry and Art exhibit at Schaumburg Library, The O’Brien foundation of Male Sexual Abuse event at the Schomburg Center For Research In Black Culture, The Love Yourself Into Prosperity Movement at the Shabazz Center in Harlem New York, and last but not least the Azy bank Fashion Tour In New York City. The Line was also featured in the Brown Eyez Magazine, DMochelle magazine which are an online and in print publication.
As a female entrepreneur, Myrlande Georges is passionate about Philanthropy and Domestic Violence. Her line seeks to inspire other women by allowing them to explore their creativity and healing through jewelry making.
